Warm Up/Set Up Notes:

  • Facility access is 6:30AM Friday and Saturday, 6:15AM Sunday.
  • Please arrive at noted times unless otherwise instructed by your coach.
  • Swimmers will most likely be setting up in the gymnasium.  Please bring deck chairs.  No sports equipment is allowed in the gym, please keep balls at home.
  • Prelim Warm Ups are blocked into 3 groups and are only 20mins + 5mins dives so swimmers need to be prepared to enter quickly for their warm up periods.
  • Finals Warm Ups are “open” warm ups with the last 15mins with dive/pace lanes.

Team Expectations for Finals and Relays

  • This is a championship meet.  We encourage swimmers to attend finals even if they are not in them to support the team.
  • All relays will be in finals at the end of the session. Relays are subject to change.
  • Unless a swimmer noted during the meet sign up process, they are expected to return for finals if they are in the top 10 or on a relay. This includes 1st and 2nd alternates.
  • No shows for finals and relays are subject to late scratch penalties ($20) and/or full relay fees ($15) if absence results in a canceled relay in addition to other repercussions.
  • Please ensure you are double checking with coaches after your last prelim swim and waiting for results to be posted if you want to leave for the day.  There may be changes to relays or information coaches are privy to, such as scratches.  Once again, wait for the results to be posted and DO NOT LEAVE FOR THE DAY UNLESS YOU HAVE COMMUNICATED WITH YOUR COACH.

Team Expectations General:

  • Swimmers arrive on time and participate to their fullest potential
  • All swimmers need to be wearing their SKSC t-shirt or sweatshirt while on deck and your SKSC cap while racing.
  • Communicate before and after each race with coaches, regardless of the results.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards the sport, other swimmers and officials
  • Sit as a team
  • Take the time to help other team members
  • Stay off electronics unless for communication with parents or music.  Engage with your teammates and meet.
  • Reminder that Safe Sports policies are in place, this includes no deck changing.
  • We ask swimmers to clean up their mess so we keep the facility clean.
  • No food allowed allowed on deck other then” sport snacks”
  • No Glass in the Building

Other Notes:

  • We may be doing activation outside so dress accordingly.
  • Award ceremonies will take place at the north west corner of the pool. Swimmers are asked to come immediately to the podium to receive their earned medals.
  • Swimmers are required to attend warmups and all of their races, and are allowed to leave when they finish their last race of a session.  Double check with your coach if you are unsure.
  • Be prepared with extra towels, healthy snacks, water bottles, etc…as days can be long, and staying warm, fueled and hydrated will be important to race your best from day to day.
  • Coaches are not responsible for watching swimmers between heats and finals.

For Parents:

  • Spectators
    • There will be bleachers available on the North Side of the pool deck
    • No spectators are allowed on deck away from the bleacher area.  Thank you for your cooperation.
